Official Opening of ISK Intermediate School in Killorglin. New €1.25m science lab geared for the future. Junior Minister Brendan Griffin donned his old school tie for a very special engagement at his alma mater on Friday.
He officiated at the official opening of a state-of-the-art new science building at Intermediate School Killorglin which is, undoubtedly, the finest facility of its kind in the county. Images of the state-of-the-art new building shared by ISK on social media.
The futuristic €1.25 million building is designed to cater for the education needs of the ISK students who are taking science subjects with 60 per cent of the senior science students being female.
The new building, which has four top class science laboratories, was designed by Cormac Kane Architects, the builders were Conack Construction and the project was funded by the Department of Education and Skills.
“It’s a terrific facility that will benefit generations of students for years to come and it will help out with the organisation of our existing school building,” said principal Joe O’Dwyer.
