Sarsfield Barracks Transport Workshop, Limerick

Project Description

The works involved the demolition of an existing vehicle maintenance facility and the construction of a new transport workshop facilities including all ancillary site work within the confines of Sarsfield Barracks, Limerick.

The new facility comprised of a single storey building of steel frame construction with insulated blockwork skirt walls and insulated steel cladding and roof decking.

The site was a fully operational live military facility during construction, there was also protected buildings and structures within the site including the boundary walls of the site.

Public access was maintained to the surroundings for the duration of the works.
