Conack Cork Penny Dinners donation initiatives show our commitment to the communities where we work. Dan O’Shea and Adam Curtin proudly presented a €1,000 donation to Cork Penny Dinners on behalf of the Marina Depot Project in Cork. Importantly, they made the donation ahead of the Christmas period, one of the charity’s busiest times of the year.

How the Team Raised the Donation

The Conack project team and our subcontract partners actively supported the Deposit Return Bottle Scheme. As a result, the site collected bottles and cans over several months.

In practice, team members returned containers regularly as part of the national scheme. Consequently, small daily actions quickly added up to a meaningful community contribution.

A Shared Team Effort on Site

Initially, the initiative focused on sustainability. However, it soon became a shared team effort with a clear community benefit.

Site teams, subcontractors and project partners worked together towards a common goal. As a result, the Conack Cork Penny Dinners donation highlights the positive impact of collaboration across our projects.

Cork Penny Dinners provides vital meals and essential support services to people experiencing food insecurity across Cork city. During the winter months, demand for these services increases significantly.
